Water soluble, amino-reactive Cy3 dye. Efficiently labels proteins and peptides in aqueous solution, without need to add organic co-solvent.

This is sulfonated, hydrophilic and water-soluble dye. Non-sulfonated Cy3 NHS ester is also available.

Cy3 NHS ester replaces Alexa Fluor 546, and DyLight 549 for all applications.

Solubility: Good in water and polar organic solvents (DMF, DMSO), moderate in alcohols and acetonitrile, poor in organic solvents (DCM, chloroform)
